Your personal data – what is it?

Loaningdale School Company is the data controller; see contact details on the Contact Us page of our website. This means it decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We keep your personal data for no longer than reasonably necessary for a period of up to 6 years in order to maintain up-to-date Financial and Accounting records.

Your rights and your personal data

  • The right to request a copy of your personal data which the Loaningdale School Company holds about you;
  • The right to request that LSC corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;

  • The right to request that the data controller provide the data subject with his/her personal data and, where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller (known as the right to data portability) (where applicable)
  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing;
  • The right to object to the processing of personal data (where applicable)
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner Office.

We never send out unsolicited emails or pass on email addresses to any third parties.
Our policy is to keep the personal information we receive securely and confidentially and used solely for internal purposes. Whilst Agendas, Minutes, Grant Applications, Financial Information and other information collected and compiled by Loaningdale School Company (LSC) is copied to our Trustees, Secretaries, Treasurer and Auditors with Financial Information copied to Royal Bank of Scotland PLC., OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator) and Companies House we will not share your personal information with any other parties unless specifically authorised by you.

Why we need your personal information – legal obligations

We are under a legal obligation to process certain personal information relating to our grant applicants for the purposes of complying with our obligations under:

  • the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator
  • Compliance with our legal, regulatory and corporate governance obligations and good practice. Gathering information as part of investigations by regulatory bodies or in connection with legal proceedings or requests and investigating complaints.

We may also share personal data with our professional advisors for the purpose of taking advice.

This website uses “cookies” in order to analyse and report to Loaningdale School Company on the number of unique visitors to the website. LSC and Squiggle Analytics use “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by LSC and Squiggle on servers that may not be within the EU.

LSC takes your privacy and the privacy of the information we process seriously.
